The Charmed One's are back!

I was going to write only about the Charmed Comic Books, but then I just couldn't not expand this entry and add my thoughts on this great TV show Charmed.

We all like Charmed, others more and others less. If you haven't heard about Charmed, then you should start watching season 1! Personally, I adore Charmed and it is my favorite TV show, although it has finished since 2006.
I grew up watching the three Charmed One's, Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell dealing with the fact that they were witches and trying to handle and adjust to their new powers and to their new magical world. I watched them kicking demon-ass, falling in and out of love, even die and lose their sister and loved one's. Then reconstituting the Power of three with Paige Matthews, their long lost half sister. I have done some serious loling with Charmed, but also crying at times. I have been disappointed, like when Cole Turner was vanquished and Prue Halliwell was killed, but I did not stop loving Charmed. Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan were the one's who made me love Charmed and never miss an episode. The strong feelings they enhanced their characters with, their talent along with their beauty, was the perfect recipe to make Charmed irresistible to the viewers and have us craving for more.

Now after four years the Charmed One's are back thanks to Zenescope! I am sure we would all prefer a movie or something, but Charmed returns on comic book form, which is still cool. The news were announced on December 19th. The writers of the Charmed Comic Books are Paul Ruditis, who has written a total of three charmed novels, along with Raven Gregory. The first issue is being released on the Comic Con International in San Diego this July. It has been confirmed that the fans are getting their own Book of Shadows along with the Comic Books. There are going to be 12 issues and I hope we get more, if they draw big response.

Celine Dion, mother again!

Celine Dion is pregnant with twins! The singer's husband and manager, Rene Angelil, announced the baby news to People on Sunday, May 30th. The 42-year-old mom-to-be is 14 weeks along.

"We're ecstatic," he told the magazine. "Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."

Celine welcomed son Rene-Charles in 2001, and has made no secret of her quest to expand her family since. "I'm going through some in vitro treatments - so that was my choice," Celine said at the time. "I'm trying to [grow] my family, be with my son and maybe be a mom for a second child, hopefully. That would be my biggest dream right now."

Last December, the Canadian singer opened up to Access about her struggles to conceive.

"We were [pregnant]," she said of August 2009 reports that she was expecting once again. "About 4, 5 days after, they found out that it was not staying."

May the little one's be fully healthy!

Alyssa Milano in Kosovo with UNICEF

Alyssa Milano is not only an actress, designer for her Touch by AM sports clothing line and a die-hard sports fan, but also a humanitarian. Alyssa is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and she traveled to Kosovo to celebrate Children's Day and work in the field as she tweeted on May 28th. (Original tweet ---> "I'm on my way to Kosovo w/ UNICEF to celebrate Children's Day & work in the field. I'm very excited. Here's an overview➙http://is.gd/ct45S")

"Hello, Kosovo. I'm happy to be here."was her tweet when she arrived and here are some photos she tweeted:

Alyssa is not like other celebrities, who care only about fame and money, but she always cares about people and she has proved that several times. Her talent combined with the love and devotion to her fans makes Alyssa a true role model for everyone and she shows the good side of being famous. Her voice on twitter reaches so many people, that on December 19 2009 in honor of her 37th birthday managed to gather $75,000 from donations for Charity Water.

In addition, Alyssa was appointed Founding Ambassador for the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Deseases, to which she donated $250,000. In the fall of 2004, she participated in UNICEF's "Trick or Treat" campaign as an official spokesperson. She raised approximately $50,000 for South Afrikan women and children with AIDSby selling own and school's photo work. In support of PETA, she appeared in an advertisement for them, advocating vegetarianism, in a dress made entirely of vegetables.

Alyssa said on her trip to Kosovo: “Children have a lot to say and they have a right to be heard; it is our responsibility to listen and give them opportunities to interact with their peers from all communities”
