What's new baby?

I haven't blogged for a while, but today I filled my facebook page with some awesome videos and I thought why bombard my fellow facebookers with things they might not even "like" or "comment"? And then I remembered I had a blog, Niki's Salad, so here I am...


The first video I want to share is a music video of "The Lazy Song" by Bruno Mars. I watched it on MTV this morning and I loved the lyrics:

I can totally relate, plus I love the dancing routine with Bruno and the monkeys. Yes. Monkeys. Check it out!

Do you watch American  Idol? Jennifer Lopez performed her new hit song "On The Floor" along with Pitbull a few days ago. What a performance!! J.Lo is a diva on stage. I love the song and her dance is amazing. Kudos for Mrs. Jenny from the Block! If that doesn't make you want to dance, then go get yourself checked.

Next is an old video from iJustine's youtube channel. It's about the launch of the iPad from April 2010. I was looking through her channel, when I came across this. It is pretty funny and I can't believe people stood in lines to aquire the new Apple device. People were cheering like crazy and Justine did her usual iDancing. The video says it all:

A few hours ago I watched "The Big Bang Theory", episode 21 of season 4 and I laughed my ass off! Not only the guys pranked Sheldon with Greek food on "Pizza Night", but later in the same episode, Amy kissed Penny and then Sheldon and Amy danced Waltz. That episode was top notch. These are my favorite and most hilarious parts of the episode:

Last but not least, 2 hours ago Lady GaGa revealed her 3rd CD single, "The Edge of Glory", out of her new record.

Who wore "Elizabeth & James" better: Alyssa Milano or Kristen Stewart?

I found these pictures of two talented actresses, Alyssa Milano & Kristen Stewart on Lady Glamourazzi wearing the same outfit "Elizabeth and James" by the Olsen Twins.

Alyssa Milano wore it at the Autism Speaks, Act of Love charity event last Thursday in Los Angeles and definitely rocked it, as you can see. 

Twilight star, Kristen Stewart wore the same outfit in Madrid, promoting the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, last year.

Both ladies are gorgeous, but the dress clearly fits better on Alyssa's body! Don't you agree?

Θα ανακοινωθούν ΠΟΤΕ τα αποτελέσματα για την εισαγωγή των αθλητών στα πανεπιστήμια, άραγε?

Εδώ και μήνες εγώ και άλλοι εκατοντάδες αθλητές περιμένουμε υπομονετικά τα αποτελέσματα για την εισαγωγή μας στην τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση. Τα αποτελέσματα έπρεπε να έχουν ήδη ανακοινωθεί από το Υπουργείο Παιδείας, όμως κάτι τέτοιο δεν έχει συμβεί.Σήμερα ενημερώθηκα από το ίδιο το Υπουργείο ότι τα αποτελέσματα δεν πρόκειται να βγουν ούτε την επόμενη εβδομάδα, για τον λόγο ότι οι αιτήσεις, τις οποίες έχουμε καταθέσει από 1η Σεπτεμβρίου, θα επανεξεταστούν.

Τα μαθήματα στις σχολές ΑΕΙ και ΤΕΙ έχουν ήδη ξεκινήσει με αποτέλεσμα να μην έχουμε ιδέα σε ποια σχολή και πόλη ανήκουμε και να χάνουμε τα μαθήματα άσκοπα. Αναρωτιέμαι πως είναι δυνατόν να συμβαίνει κάτι τέτοιο, καθώς όπως προανέφερα οι δηλώσεις έχουν κατατεθεί από τις αρχές Σεπτεμβρίου και τώρα έχουμε φτάσει τέλος Οκτωβρίου. Η υπομονή μας έχει υπερβεί κάθε όριο και αυτή η κατάσταση είναι εντελώς απαράδεκτη.

Τέλος, θα ήθελα να προσθέσω ότι πέρα απο τα καθημερινά τηλεφωνήματα προς το Υπουργείο Παιδείας, έχω στείλει μηνύματα στο twitter της κυρίας Διαμαντοπούλου, που υποτίθεται οτι έχει ανοίξει αυτόν τον λογαριασμό για να μας ενημερώνει για την παιδεία της χώρας μας, αλλά και για να μπορούμε να ερχόμαστε σε επικοινωνία μαζί της. Παρ’όλα αυτά, δεν έχω λάβει ούτε μία απάντηση.

Ο Νοέμβρης έφτασε, για την ακρίβεια εδώ και 3 ημέρες έχουμε μπει στον Νοέμβρη, αλλά τα αποτελέσματα ακόμα δεν έχουν βγει. Οι λόγοι για τους οποίους έχουν καθυστερήσει τόσο πολύ έχουν αναρτηθεί στην ιστοσελίδα του Υπουργείου Παιδείας... 

Καθημερινά ανοίγω τον υπολογιστή μου και η πρώτη σελίδα που επισκέπτομαι είναι αυτή του Υπουργείου Παιδείας Δια Βίου Μάθησης και Θρησκευμάτων, ελπίζοντας πως θα έχουν ανακοινωθεί τα αποτελέσματα ή έστω μία ανακοίνωση για το πότε θα ανακοινωθούν, αλλά τίποτα. Προσωπικά, έκανα εγγραφή στη σχολή που πέρασα αρχικά, χωρίς το 10%, και άρχισα να πηγαίνω από την πρώτη μέρα των μαθημάτων και βλέπω ότι έχουμε προχωρήσει αρκετά. Το ίδιο προφανώς συμβαίνει και στις άλλες σχολές και σκέφτομαι πόσο πίσω θα έχω μείνει όταν περάσω(αν βγουν ποτέ τα αποτελέσματα) στη σχολή που επιθυμώ με το 10%.

Τόσος αγώνας και σκληρή προπόνηση μέσα στα γήπεδα όλα αυτά τα χρόνια, τόσο άγχος για τις πανελλήνιες, τόση αγωνία για το αν θα είναι αρκετά τα μόρια για την εισαγωγή μου στο πανεπιστήμιο που θέλω εγώ και όχι κάποιο τυχαίο και αντί να έχουν τελειώσει όλα αυτά, η αγωνία συνεχίζεται Νοέμβρη μήνα. Όλη αυτή η κατάσταση είναι εξοργιστική και δεν υπερβάλλω καθόλου.Τουλάχιστον ας ανακοινωθεί μία ημερομηνία για το πότε θα ανακοινωθούν γα να ξέρουμε. Αύριο? Στις 15 Νοεμβρίου? Στις 20 Δεκεμβρίου? Του χρόνου τέτοια μέρα? Έλεος, απλά έλεος...

Alyssa Milano is the Boss!

    

Last night the 2010 VH1 Do Something! Awards were held in Los Angeles. Among the celebrity nominees was the outstanding Alyssa Milano, who won the Do Something on Twitter award. Ashton Kutcher, Hugh Jackman, Edward Norton and BP Global PR were the other nominees in the Twitter category, but Alyssa's almost 1 million followers decided that she deserves to win the award!

Twitter Queen, as her followers (including me of course!) call her, has been using twitter for over a year now. Her tweets include interesting news from all over the world, funny moments from her every day life, tweets about her big love baseball, but also about charity work. In December 19, Alyssa gave up her birthday and asked her followers to donate to Charity: Water, a nonprofit working to supply clean water to those in need. She managed to raise $92,568, which means 18 communities, 4628 people have clean water in Ethiopia! This has not only been extremely generous and helpful to the people that actually need it, but also has inspired many to follow on her footsteps. A recent example is Petra Hall, who has started a campaign on Charity: Water for her 21st birthday! You can check it out and donate HERE.

  Alyssa thanks us on her twitter page, but I want to thank her, because if it wasn't for her, we probably wouldn't even know about Charity: Water and nothing would have happened without her. Alyssa deserves that award and so much more as she has made a difference in the world by using twitter. She shows the good side of being a celebrity and uses her strong voice to help and inspire people. Personally, I feel like I know Alyssa more thanks to twitter. She has always been my favorite actress and I'm blessed to have the ability to communicate with her, thing I never thought I would be able to do and actually get replies back. Alyssa has great qualities, besides being gorgeous and talented, she also is sweet to everyone, kind, generous, funny and most importantly she is always real, which makes her the perfect role model.

Keep on being wonderful Alyssa!
